Westview Shopping Center is at Barrington Road and Irving Park Road, shared by Hanover Park and Streamwood. Construction began in March 1988. A vacant Kohl's supermarket center and Bell Oil were both torn down and stores such as Burlington Coat Factory, Cub Foods, Giant Auto Supply, Jo-Ann Fabrics, Phar-Mor, and Chernin's Shoe Mart were built in its place. Westview was Streamwood's first major mall.
