HOOSIER GROVE MUSEUM/SCHOOLHOUSE AND BARN
Hoosier Grove School was built in 1904 and served residents of Hoosier Grove (now Streamwood) until 1954. Its original site was at the southwest corner of Barrington and Old Church Roads, but it is now located at Hoosier Grove Park. The building now serves as a Streamwood history museum where you can view artifacts and experience what it was like to learn in a one-room schoolhouse.
The Struckmeier family moved to the area known as Hoosier Grove in the 1870s and built this barn in 1888. The family would move their dairy cows to pasture across Irving Park Road. This facility now hosts weddings and community events.
